She received her family nurse practitioner degree from the Mississippi University for Women and post-master’s mental health nurse practitioner degree from the University of Alabama. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

She received her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Samford University in Birmingham and further specialized by obtaining a Post-Master’s Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health from Samford University as well. Brandi’s diverse clinical experience includes working in hospital critical care, outpatient clinics, and urgent care.
She treats a variety of mental health disorders, including mood disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and other mental health concerns for children, adolescents and adults.

She received her Associate of Applied Science from Northeast Community College in 1994, a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of North Alabama in 1999, a Master of Nursing from the University of Alabama-Huntsville in 2021, a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, and a postgraduate certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Mississippi-Hattiesburg in 2023.
Tamar works with patients beginning at five years old, having depression, anxiety, mood disorder, ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mental health disorders/concerns. She completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at The University of Mississippi before going on to study clinical psychology at Mississippi State University where she earned a Master of Science. Afterward, she acquired clinical experiences at the inpatient and outpatient levels of care until she later returned to The University of Mississippi to study clinical mental health counseling, earning a Master of Education. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor.
